The look and feel of the new laces, my 3rd set since owning my SOMs, are a different material which is okay. The material is less soft and seems more durable than the originals. Time will tell and possibly this set will outlast the shoes.
Thank you for letting us know what you think about the new laces. We changed the supplier a little while back and we like them better for their durability. They are stiffer for sure. Time will tell. SOM Team

Why should kids have all the fun? That's why I buy colorful, functional shoelaces for my SOM shoes. Some are seasonal, but all are entertaining.
